When I was doing my budget the things that most surprised me was how I forgot that I had to pay for all the simple stuff like food and electricity. Also finding a dorm to stay at was pretty hard. I didn't know what would have been the best place for me so I just randomly chose one honestly. I can prepare for those expenses later by getting a job. It opened my eyes up a lot.

  1. I would try to find as many scholarship essays as I can to help cover the expenses.

  3. I agree with bailey that finding as many scholarships to apply for so expenses could lower from the help of scholarships. Also, research more into apartments and you will adventually find one that isn't bad and, that its as expensive either. it really does help!

  4. Also, splitting the cost with a roommate would be much easier on both of you.

  5. Some colleges offer houses that you can rent a room in on campus which is usually a lot cheaper and like Bailey and Kelsea said finding as many scholarships will help a ton.
